Am I eligible for tax relief?
If you work in nursing and midwifery and you pay for professional or union subscriptions, pay regulators' fees or wear a uniform and launder it yourself, you could be entitled to a tax rebate.
Here are a few things you could be claiming for.
If you wear uniform at work and wash it yourself you can claim tax back, nurses and midwives can also claim an extra allowance for shoes and tights or socks. If you work in nursing and midwifery however there are several over things you could claim for which can increase your tax rebate by £100s.
Your annual registration fee with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) is allowable for tax relief. NMC fees have risen significantly recently which means there is even the more reason to claim the tax relief you are due.
Dental nurses can also claim tax relief on the annual General Dental Council (GDC) registration fee.
No refund, no fee promise
We will check if you are due a tax rebate without charging any upfront fee.
It's easy to do, you can lodge a claim in 5 minutes. If we don't obtain a tax refund for you, you won't be charged.
RCN, RCM and Unison subscriptions
If you are a member of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN), the Royal College of Midwives (RCM) or the Unison union you can also claim tax relief on those subscriptions.
